Bonita Granita: A Two Ingredient Recipe for Cherry Limeade Granita
After the last couple of granita recipes (watermelon granita and peach sweet tea granita), I am officially fond to this adult-slushie snack. It is so good and (more than chiefly) and so easy. How piece of cake? Today'southward granita has all of two ingredients. Two!
And then what are we making? Cherry limeade granita.
Information technology's a little tart and a picayune sweet. And if you ask me, you should probably consume information technology outside on a patio somewhere…with sunglasses on. Because it tastes like summer!
Ingredients (makes roughly 14 oz)
– 1/2 cup 100% cherry juice (I bought mine at Trader Joe's for $4)
-1 1/2 cups of limeade
*I had some extra limes in the house, so I replaced a 1/2 cup of the limeade with fresh lime juice, simply FYI. So that brought the limeade down to 1 cup and and so the remaining 1/two loving cup was fresh lime juice. Just in case you desire to add that third ingredient.
You won't need whatever sugar for this recipe considering the cherry juice has enough sweetness to it already. And water is optional…I didn't use any water in mine, for a more punchy flavor, merely if you desire something more subtle, add one/iii cup of water to the above ingredients.
Instructions:
Pour ingredients into a bowl, stir, and freeze for 30 minutes. And then rake with a fork and popular back in the freezer. Repeat this procedure of raking the surface every xxx minutes until the unabridged bowl has been raked. So, information technology's ready to serve.
